If our sources at Mr Man are correct, Ewan McGregor is one of the most prolific actors when it comes to nudity in film. So maybe its not such a surprise that he didn’t bat an eyelid at the gay sex scenes in Netflix’s Halston.
Halston is produced by… you guessed it, Ryan Murphy, who often slathers his projects his sex (no complaints here), and doesn’t waste any time in getting stuck in.
The opening episode contains “primal gay sex” according to IndieWire.
Christine Vachon is also producing and told Provincetown Film Festival: “Ewan and I talked about that. I said — ‘How do you feel about the sex scenes?’ And he said — ‘Well, that’s a part of this character.”

Adding, “Ewan wanted to include a scene where Halston was arrested for indecent exposure because he was cruising in Central Park… [his attitude was that] it’s a part of human behavior, it’s a part of that character.”
“We needed somebody remarkable because it was this larger-than-life character, who could do the dialect, who was not afraid of being unsympathetic, who could do the sex scenes. And Ewan was that guy. He was so well-suited to it,” said Minahan.
