Actor Hugh Sheridan came out as… non-straight? But the Australian native says that although he’s been with both men and women, he doesn’t want to label his sexuality.

The 35-year-old Packed To The Rafters detailed in a personal essay for Stellar Magazine that after a period of self-reflection in lockdown, he’s accepted his attraction to both sexes and is ready to be open on the topic.

“I’ve never felt I really knew who I was and I didn’t like the sounds of the labels that people were giving me so I decided to say nothing,” he wrote.

“But lockdown gave me time to reflect and it occurred to me that no-one ever sticks up for people who don’t pick a label.”

Sheridan clarified he was “never ashamed” of his sexuality, but, “Some people are working things out slower than others”.

“There must be a lot more people out there who feel how I feel – like the words still don’t fit. Maybe this is also my way of letting people know that I’m still single, and everyone is on the smorgasbord!”

We live for the transparency!

He also goes on to explain that he was told to stay in the closet for his career and that women wouldn’t pay to see a leading man they couldn’t have sex with.

Well, sorry to break it to the women, but 95% of you will never sleep with the leading man even if he’s straight.
