Most of our coming stories aren’t especially riveting, but Reid Arthur didn’t just come out of the closet, he leapt out of it.

George Fox University were holding a lip-sync battle, which Arthur decided was the perfect time for him to show off his pride. During his performance to Taylor Swift’s You Need To Calm Down (which might have already been a clear giveaway that Arthur batted for our team), his dancers pulled off his jacket via the sleeves, to reveal rainbow-tasselled sleeves.

That’s actually better than some of the reveals we’ve seen on Drag Race.

Arthur won the lip-sync and $500 which he donated to the Trevor Project, which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youth. That’s truly deserving of a YAAAAS!

The college is a Christian institution which makes Arthur’s coming out that much more powerful, but one student notes, “the community and faculty’s readiness and willingness to accept LGBTQ+ people on campus.”

And it’s certainly possible for a college to be Christian but also LGBTQ+ accepting, it just depends which part of the contradictory Bible they teach.
