Two of our favourite LGBTQ shows are set to sweep up at the Emmy’s this year.

Ryan Murphy’s groundbreaking ballroom drama Pose is nominated for six Emmy’s, including Best Drama Series and Best Actor (Billy Porter). The show – which is the first of its kind with a trans-leading cast – explores the AIDs epidemic with a touching, empathetic and personified viewpoint, and has been a huge hit with viewers.

Meanwhile, Ru Paul’s Drag Race really snatched all the wigs at the Academy, with a gag-worthy 14 nominations. The reality show, which has previously scored at the Emmy’s and was nominated for just two last year, was clearly in the lead for TV’s most sickening reality show.

Although the actual categories included: Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program and Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, for Untucked. The full list of nominations can be seen here.

It’ll be tough – especially for Pose – this year as it’s thrust up against some stiff competition, including Killing Eve, Game of Thrones, and Bodyguard.

Congratulations to two well-deserved shows!
