Yes, Valentine’s Day is stressful for single people, but man up. Anyone who’s been in a relationship over the dreaded day knows that it’s equally as painful. Having to get the right presents, spending shit loads of money that could have been spent on trainers and Netflix, and missing Eastenders to go hang out with someone you see most days of the week anyway. So if you got a man, here’s our tips on how to keep him (or her)…
1. Avoid coming to blows when meeting his parents
2. Having a freak out in front of his friends
3. Express you’re true feelings when he buys the wrong clutch
4. Basically, causing a scene anywhere public…
5. Letting your sex life get more stale than old bread
Although, not sure we could knock it if it was Justin.
Especially when you’re telling everyone it’s like this:
6. In fact, avoid over-sharing altogether:
7. If you feel like clapping the bitch, at least make it look accidental
8. Gloating tends to go down like a shit sandwich
9. If you can win over the dad, he’ll give her away quicker than herpes
10. Showing an interest in each other sexually
11. Don’t ever tell them they look fat
12. Never bring home the wrong flavour of Ben & Jerry’s
13. Have an open mind when he discusses his sexual fetishes
14. Table manners are particularly important
15. Think before answering when he suggests moving in together
16. Make sure he has attributes that you really respect
17. Having similar interests on the weekend is crucial
18. Always know when to cut an argument short
19. Don’t even think about following some Instagram slut
20. Respect that certain things belong solely to the other…
21. Accept that at times, they’re only human too…
